What is Brain Boosters?

Brain Boosters is a screen-free social-emotional learning (SEL) card system for kids.

Each card has three parts:

  1. Affirmation – a kid-friendly statement they say out loud.
  2. Action – a simple, science-backed step they take that day.
  3. Reward – they mark their progress with the Brain Boosters stamp on the tracker.

Kids pick a card, say it, do it, stamp it. Over time, those small reps build confidence, emotional skills, and better self-talk.

What ages is Brain Boosters for?

Brain Boosters is designed for kids ages 5–12.

  • Younger kids: you’ll read the card and help with the action.
  • Older kids: can usually read and complete the card on their own, with a quick check-in from you.

How long does it take each day?

Most cards take 2–5 minutes.

This isn’t another big program to manage. It’s a small daily touchpoint that fits before school, after dinner, at bedtime, or anytime in between.

Is this just “positive quotes,” or is there more to it?

It’s more than feel-good sayings on cards.

Brain Boosters is a complete, structured system built around social-emotional learning (SEL) principles. Every card connects:

  • What kids say – a kid-friendly affirmation they speak out loud.
  • What kids do – a small, science-informed action they take that day.
  • How progress is rewarded – they use the stamp and progress tracker to mark each card completed, turning effort into a visible “I did it” reward.

Beyond words, the action and the tracking are where the real change happens—tiny reps of courage, kindness, emotional awareness, and trying again, repeated over time.

How much involvement is needed from me as a parent?

You don’t need to be a therapist, teacher, or SEL expert.

  • For younger kids, you’ll read the card, do the action together, and stamp the tracker.
  • For older kids, your role is mostly a quick check-in and short conversation about how it went.

Most families treat it like brushing teeth for the mind—short, consistent, and part of the routine.

If you want to go deeper, each set comes with a parent eBook that expands every card with:

  • A simple “why this matters” explanation
  • Optional discussion questions
  • Extra activity ideas

You can use those on days when you have more time, and skip them when you don’t.

Will this help if my child is shy, anxious, or strong-willed?

Brain Boosters isn’t a medical treatment, but it does build skills that many anxious or sensitive kids need: naming feelings, trying new things in small steps, problem-solving, and talking to themselves more kindly.

If your child already works with a professional, Brain Boosters can sit alongside that support as a daily practice at home.

What if my child doesn’t want to do the cards?

Totally normal.

A few things that help:

  • Let them choose the card—it gives them some control.
  • Keep it short and light, not a lecture.
  • Start with easy wins (cards they can do quickly).
  • Use the stamp and tracker as a visual “win board,” not a punishment system.

If they really resist, aim for 2–3 cards a week to start. Consistency matters more than perfection.

Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?

Right now we ship within Canada.

  • Orders are processed and shipped within 2 business days.
  • Shipping is free on all Canadian orders.

Delivery times depend on your location, but most orders arrive 3 to 10 days

What is your return policy?

If Brain Boosters doesn’t feel like a fit:

  • You can request a return within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unopened and in their original packaging.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping, unless we made an error or the set arrived damaged.

What is the “Buy One. Gift One.” program?

For every Brain Boosters set you buy, we send a second set to a child or classroom in need through partner schools and community programs.

Your purchase puts powerful tools in your child’s hands—and in the hands of another child who wouldn’t easily have access to them.

Are the materials safe for kids?

Yes. The cards and packaging are printed with kid-safe inks on sturdy cardstock. The stamp marker is designed for children’s use under normal supervision. As with any small object, we recommend keeping sets away from children under 3.
